Data + AI in Action: Sofia. A Databricks Event, Hosted by Cosmos Thrace

On Tuesday 29 September 2026, Databricks comes to Sofia. Together we are hosting Data + AI in Action: Sofia, a half day at Sofia Tech Park for the people who own data and AI decisions in their companies.

Cosmos Thrace is a Databricks Silver Partner, headquartered at the same address where the event takes place. This is our home ground, and this is a personal invitation.

What This Day Is Not

Let's start with what you will not get. There will be no slides about the future of AI. There will be no sales pitch. Nobody will ask you to book a call before you leave the room.

We built the agenda this way deliberately. When we asked executives why they decline event invitations, the same three answers came back: generic agendas, anything that smells like a pitch, and not knowing who else will be in the room. So we removed all three.

The Problem the Day Is Built Around

The pattern we see in almost every conversation is the same. The demo works. The demo always works. It is everything after the demo that causes trouble.

The numbers back this up. MIT's State of AI in Business 2025 found that 95% of enterprise GenAI pilots fail to deliver measurable business impact, and the cause is rarely the model. It is data readiness and workflow integration. Gartner puts it another way: 60% of AI projects that lack AI-ready data will be abandoned through 2026.

The problem is rarely the model. The problem is the data underneath it. That is what this day is about: what it takes to make the data underneath ready, shown by companies that have done it.
